Tabitha Merritt, Director

Tabitha & her husband David came to Peachtree by way of an art class for their then-junior high age daughter and soon fell in love with the mission and the spirit of Peachtree.  With experience in choir & piano, she soon became part of the burgeoning music program and has worked closely with Peachtree’s high school & junior high choirs since their inception.  As the Merritt family grew older, it became apparent that the Lord was calling them to work together in His Mission to redeem the arts for His Glory, and to participate in creating excellent art as well as training younger minds to desire excellence in creativity.  When Peachtree needed a new director just after her younger daughter finished high school, she felt God’s equipping in her love for arts and also her business background.  As director, her goals are to steward well the seeds God has planted & is planting, and also to continually see and call out His creative gifts in every child that participates here. Excellence in all creative disciplines uniquely equips people to bless the world and draw minds & hearts toward the ultimate Creator, and Tabitha is blessed to participate in the work God is doing through Peachtree to do just that.
